In her early career, Susan Shiu has worked as a senior accountant in Mainland China, and also owned a restaurant and building refurbishment business in North West China before moving to Hong Kong. As a result, Susan can speak fluently in both English and Mandarin, and can also speak basic Cantonese.
In 2001, Susan came to Australia for her MBA degree and to enhance her English. From there onwards, she began to work in the retail industry, dealing with sourcing materials between Australia and China, before later moving into the real estate market, where she worked as a business development and marketing manager in order to develop networks and contacts.
Susan has developed a network of contacts across many industries, she has been a f ounding member of the Asian Community Associ ations and various professional business groups on the Gold Coast. Her large network of friends and colleagues in Australia, China, and other Asian regions have sought Susan's skills in purchasing property in Australia. Her ability to readily communicate between languages and her local knowledge of Australian cities such as the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart along with her knowledge of contracts , Australian law and Australian Real Estate purchasing procedures have been an immense help to both local and overseas buyers. During her career, Susan has dealt with many aspect of the real estate market, including rural farms, commercial, industrial and residential properties.
