He was honoured with the REINT Community Service awards in both 2014 and 2015 for his dedication to creating and developing the Katherine to Darwin Challenge (www.K2DC.com.au). This inspiring fundraising cycling event supports the local organization Total Recreation, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to participate in sports and recreation. To date, K2DC has raised over $370,000 and has become an annual fixture on calendars, scheduled for the last weekend of June.
