With almost two & half decades of industry experience in a broad range of capacities, including successful business ownership.

James’ early career in sales, international banking, and the import and export industry provided a firm foundation in business acumen, skills which proved to be an excellent launching pad into the real estate industry in the early 1990’s. James developed an enviable sales record with the Barry Plant Eastern Group winning numerous awards in 1999-2004 period and was officially recognised with a series of highly esteemed industry awards over several years. With a keen interest in people, skill maximisation, and innovative business strategies, James explored the depth and breadth of business ownership first-hand as Director of Barry Plant Mitcham in 2003-2007 and Sales Director of various agencies.

Despite his success, James is as down-to-earth and approachable person, a trait that fits perfectly with the Barry Plant Eastern Group. James takes time to get to know people’s needs, whether Selling or Buying, and has an acute understanding of the dynamics and challenges facing today’s sellers, after all, he’s been in their shoes.

In his leisure time, James enjoys plenty of family activities, including beach and camping, and loves socialising over good food and wine with friends. As an avid supporter of the Melbourne AFL Football Club and attends as many games as possible. “I was thrilled with their premiership 2021."
