Laurie Gray

I have grown up in the Northern Suburbs, attending Windermere Primary and Claremont High School.

I am married to Helen who is a finance broker, we have four children and seven grandchildren

I am passionate about my sport mainly Australian Rules Football, playing for Glenorchy and then Newtown in the southern amateur league and later coached one of the Glenorchy under age sides to back to back premierships. I probably should mention that I am a Carlton supporter but please don’t hold that against me.

I also played cricket with North Hobart and later with Seamac cricket club in the city association and now play Golf (badly) being a member of. the Claremont Golf Club.

I have been until recently in the building industry all my working life, I served my apprenticeship as a carpenter/joiner at the housing department and later took a redundancy, I then worked at Cadburys and Century furniture before starting our own family building business which has only just closed its doors after 30 years in operation.

I feel that selling Real Estate is a good fit for me personally, as I feel that the experience that I have gained in the building industry over the years will help me tremendously when dealing with clients as I am happy to pass on to my prospective buyers, the ideas to renovate a property or if it is feasible to add on to a particular dwelling which I believe gives me a unique point of difference to the average agent.
