CBRE are excited to present this opportunity to the market for a suitably licenced, qualified, and experienced contractor to secure a Management and Operation Agreement over the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre Café on behalf of our client, City of Gold Coast, via a formal Tender process.

The Palm Beach Aquatic Centre will cater to the Southern Gold Coast’s growing population. The redevelopment of this integrated “lifestyle destination’ includes the revamping of the existing facilities, offering larger warm water facilities, learn-to-swim pools, and a new 25-metre heated outdoor pool.

This multi-purpose facility will also accommodate a community centre, fitness centre, creche, administration and office area and a dedicated café with indoor and outdoor dining areas. The overall project is on track for completion around spring 2024.

The Palm Beach Aquatic Centre is owned by the City of Gold Coast, who are seeking a suitably licenced, qualified and experienced contractor to operate the café within the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre.

The Opportunity

This café comprises a kitchen, servery, and dining area, and is centrally located within the main entry foyer adjacent the community centre, creche, gym and pool areas.

The café area is approx. 80sqm inclusive of kitchen and servery area with an additional outdoor and internal dining area. The café will be offered fitted and with a wide range of equipment to enable the successful tenderer to operate this facility.

The Aquatic Centre operates during the following times:

• Monday to Friday: 5:00am – 8:00pm
• Saturdays: 6:00am – 5:00pm
• Sundays and Public Holidays: 7:00am – 4:00pm

The Community Centre will operate on occasions to 11:00pm when pre-arranged events are booked.

The Palm Beach Aquatic Centre is closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day, and Christmas Day.
