Originally built in 1937 and known as the Royal Exchange Assurance Building , 75 Pitt Street is recognised today as one the first modernist high rise buildings to be built in Sydney. In 2020 the building was reinvigorated by architects Nettletontribe which involved a complete "back to core" refurbishment of all the floors, an upgrade of all building services as well as a modernisation of the ground floor lobby and retail space.
