It neighbours the NSW border into Queanbeyan via busy Canberra Avenue and is a 10 minute drive to the Canberra Airport via the Monaro Highway. It is also located at the end of Hindmarsh Drive, an arterial road leading from Woden and Weston Creek. Whilst the residential population as at the 2006 Census was only 54, the workforce of the suburb would be approximately 12,000 employed in a range of light industrial, food, automotive and retail sectors.
