As a part of the expansion of the Adelaide Convention Centre and the redevelopment of the Riverbank precinct we are very proud to announce the creation of Home Ground.

Home Ground will be a sophisticated café court perched on The Promenade with breath taking views overlooking the River Torrens. Ideally located on the Riverbank close to major South Australian landmarks such as Adelaide Oval, the Adelaide Convention Centre, Skycity Adelaide Casino, the Festival Centre, the BioMed City medical precinct, and the CBD.

It will be a truly unique South Australian culinary experience targeted to showcase the best we have to offer.

Home Ground is a brand new facility immediately below the brand new, state-of-the-art and iconic Adelaide Convention Centre Plenary Hall. The Centre is located on North Terrace which forms the northern boundary of Adelaide’s CBD in a very busy precinct all within a short walking distance of many key entertainment and business hubs. The location of Home Ground will place it in prime position to capture crowds coming to-and from Adelaide Oval sporting and entertainment events as well as daily traffic from the Adelaide Convention Centre, CBD, and nearby university and medical precincts.

Home Ground will be on The Promenade which is a pedestrian thoroughfare ultimately linking Morphett Street bridge with the Festival Plaza, Adelaide Railway Station and the footbridge across the River Torrens to Adelaide Oval.

Home Ground is a place where visitors will experience the ‘home ground advantage’ of discovering the hidden gems of SA food culture. A place where locals can enjoy the curated selections of the state’s culinary champions, all collected together in one convenient space...

We are seeking the best South Australian operators to seize this unique opportunity to showcase their brand to national and international visitors.

The premises will be licensed. Areas range from 22sqm to 36sqm with common seating provided inside and out. There will be seating for 169 patrons inside and another 170 patrons outside soaking up the views with some areas covered and heated.

A centrally located wash facility will keep the patron areas well cleaned along with taking care of the washing up of the utensils and crockery for you. This will leave you to focus on what you do best—excite the senses with your food prowess. Applications are being sought now from those local operators whose reputation precedes them. And by precedes them, we mean their reputation walks in the door five minutes before they do!

Opening is set for November 2017—after the opening of the final stage of the Adelaide Convention Centre redevelopment in mid- September 2017. Construction is well underway with lock up about to occur.
