Expressions of interest are being sought by the Bayside City Council to lease, operate and upgrade The Royal Avenue Tennis Centre. The facility has 14 en-tout-cas tennis courts, a club house, including a cafe, pro shop and social area for customers with an adjacent three bedroom residence. The Council has identified the need to upgrade the facility and wishes to work with the successful lessee to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Centre.

A wide range of programs including weekly competitions, tournaments, coaching from junior to elite level, weekend social tennis and senior's tennis are currently undertaken and it's envisaged these programs will continue and be enhanced. The premises are to be available for use by the general public 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm at a minimum.

The lease will commence on 1 April 2012 or otherwise by agreement and will be granted on either a 5 year or 10 year lease term with applicable conditions.
