A 21.4 hectare vineyard, wedding and events venue just four kilometres north of the New South Wales country town of Mudgee has been listed for sale through an expressions of interest campaign.

Blue Wren Farm, 433 Ulan Road, Mudgee, has hall space large enough to host 350 standing guests and an informal cellar lounge and garden. There’s accommodation for up to 40 guests, 15 powered glamping tents, a five-bedroom three-bathroom farmhouse and 5.6 hectares of Shiraz, Merlot and Verdelho vines.

Executive Chef and owner Kip Harris purchased the venue from his father around five years ago and is now based in Melbourne. He has listed Blue Wren Farm to free up some capital in advance of a new project in and around Melbourne.

Ideal venue for a wedding.

McGrath Central Tablelands Mudgee agent Adam Woods says there is a good team working at the venue who is happy to stay on with the new ownership.

“We had a registered valuer quote on the property alone and the value was around $2,820,000 but the business asset, stock and goodwill is left up to the potential buyer to come up with a value, probably around $3,500,000,” he says.

“Most of the interest so far has come from people in metropolitan areas looking to make a tree change and that has been spurned by people researching a move due to COVID as they are prepared to make big life decisions in times of crisis.”
