The Kongal Seeds operation at Yarralyn Park is a purpose built seed cleaning operation whose core business is cleaning seeds for growers, agents and seed marketing companies.

The current owners acquired Yarralyn Park in 1984 at which time the seed cleaning operation was a sideline to the farming operation with a modest client base of around 30 customers. Since that time, the operation has expanded considerably and today consists of highly automated, efficient and sophisticated seed cleaning infrastructure capable of providing a diverse range of services to its 300 plus producer and marketer clients throughout Australia.

Seed cleaning accounts for around 80% of Kongal Seeds’ service offering with the remaining 20% made up of a diverse range of services including but not limited to packing seed for export, seed sampling and testing, treating and drying.

Yarralyn Park comprises approximately 545.8 hectares of land and is operated as a diversified mixed farm. It comprises 80 hectares of laser levelled flood irrigated land and 68 hectares of centre pivot irrigation, growing certified and uncertified Lucerne for seed and hay production. Water entitlements include over 825 mega litres for irrigation.

The remaining property areas are utilised for cereal and pulse seed production in association with improved pastures for the running of a Merino and First Cross ewe flock.
